<\/p>Rock knob is such a great easy, relatively short hike: \u00a0perfect for a spring evening when you don\u2019t have a lot of time, but your kids need to do something outside. \u00a0This is one of my very favorite times to hike in the forest. \u00a0There are hardly any bugs, and things are just beginning to turn green in places. \u00a0The view from Rock Knob is always fun, but perhaps even more fun for the kidlets is taking a bit of time to tromp through the \u201cspooky forest\u201d \u00a0a section of pine forest halfway to Rock Knob. \u00a0In the spooky forest there is a stick fort that is fun to visit and explore, and plenty of opportunities to wield a stick like a sword and chase imaginary dragons and monsters. \u00a0There are plenty of trees to practice jousting with, and lots of interesting things to explore on the ground. \u00a0On this trip YaYa brought a basket to collect interesting nature items. \u00a0The Banana brought a snazzy wild cloth bag. \u00a0Squirmy watched the action from my back.\n
