{"id":2522,"date":"2011-05-27T14:06:25","date_gmt":"2011-05-27T19:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.superrachelzana.com\/blog\/?p=2522"},"modified":"2011-05-27T14:06:25","modified_gmt":"2011-05-27T19:06:25","slug":"the-kindergartener-speaks-about-sticky-shirts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/superrachelzana.com\/?p=2522","title":{"rendered":"The Kindergartener Speaks About Sticky Shirts"},"content":{"rendered":"<body><p><\/p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2521\" title=\"noahstamp\" src=\"https:\/\/superrachelzana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/noahstamp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/superrachelzana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/noahstamp.jpg 900w, https:\/\/superrachelzana.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/noahstamp-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/>\n<p>This morning I woke up at the regular time and groaned. \u00a0I just didn\u2019t want to have to get up and do the get-the-kids-to-the-bus-stop battle. \u00a0My husband woke up too, and instead of falling right back to sleep like usual, he decided to give me a special treat and get up with YaYa and Mr. SP. \u00a0He brought me a bottle so I could feed Squirmy in bed, and he made breakfast for the others, sent YaYa to school with lunch money, and got everyone to the bus on time. \u00a0It was WONDERFUL.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, I didn\u2019t see my school kids this morning. \u00a0I didn\u2019t know what they were wearing. \u00a0It\u2019s not like my children ever match, they never look put together, and I don\u2019t need them to. \u00a0They are sloppy kids who look sloppy most of the time. \u00a0However, I do try to make sure they look relatively clean before I send them to school in the morning. \u00a0Imagine my raised eyebrows when I picked Mr. SP up at kindergarten today outside his classroom.<\/p>\n<p>Me: \u00a0Honey, watch out with your backpack. \u00a0Stop flinging that around! \u00a0You are going to bonk into somebody. \u00a0Be careful. \u00a0We need to pay attention to where we are in relation to other people so we don\u2019t have a crash. \u00a0Look where you are going. \u00a0HEY! \u00a0Didn\u2019t you wear that shirt yesterday? \u00a0And I think you wore it last night for pajamas too!<\/p>\n<p>Mr. SP: \u00a0Well, maybe.<\/p>\n<p>Me: \u00a0Honey, don\u2019t you see all that raspberry jam you spilled on this shirt yesterday? \u00a0It\u2019s all over the front. \u00a0And here\u2019s some chocolate. \u00a0Is this mayonnaise that dried up? \u00a0Honey, this shirt is filthy!<\/p>\n<p>Mr. SP: \u00a0Oh, I didn\u2019t notice.<\/p>\n<p>Me: \u00a0SWEETIE! \u00a0You need to put dirty laundry in the laundry shoot! \u00a0You just can\u2019t wear dirty clothes to school. \u00a0You HAVE TO WEAR CLEAN CLOTHES TO SCHOOl!<\/p>\n<p>Mr. SP: \u00a0Well, I just don\u2019t see why.<\/p>\n<p>Me: \u00a0Well, honey, people think you don\u2019t take care of yourself when you wear dirty clothes. \u00a0It\u2019s like brushing your teeth and combing your hair. \u00a0You need clean clothes every morning.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. SP: \u00a0Mom, the rest of the kindergarteners don\u2019t notice those things AT ALL.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning I woke up at the regular time and groaned. \u00a0I just didn\u2019t want to have to get up and do the get-the-kids-to-the-bus-stop battle. \u00a0My husband woke up too, and instead of falling right back to sleep like usual, he decided to give me a special treat and get up with YaYa and Mr. SP. \u00a0He brought me a bottle so I could feed Squirmy in bed, and he made breakfast for the others, sent YaYa to school with lunch money, and got everyone to the bus on time. \u00a0It was WONDERFUL.
