Silly Goggles

Mr. Sneaky Pants and The Banana take their goggles to swimming lessons every day.  Mr. TOF likes to feel included, so YaYa located this old pair of half broken blue goggles.  They were a hit.  Not only are goggles fun, but these happen to be blue, which is Mr. TOF’s current favorite color.  For days he looped them around his neck and wore them wherever he went:  to watch swimming lessons, to play in the wading pool, to play in the yard.  The goggles took a nap with him and he wore the goggles at meals.  He called them “Me Blues.”

Then the goggles went to the sandy beach, and somehow the goggles were taken off at the beach, and no one noticed that they weren’t looped around Mr. TOF’s neck when we left the beach.  Catastrophe.  This little boy was so, so upset.  He was distraught.  It was a state of dispair.

Luckily, YaYa rummaged around the house until she found him a pair of half broken green goggles that were pretty much identical to the lost pair of blue goggles.  Now the green goggles go everywhere with us, and he shows them to everyone and tells a story about how he lost his blue goggles at the beach and it was sad.

Of course, I have to do a lot of translating for the animated storytelling.
