Favorite Ways to Eat Raspberries

When Grandma Kathy was here Dr. Pediatrician took her and Ms. Crazy Preschooler to the raspberry farm and they came back with a couple of buckets of fresh raspberries, most of which we sent to Iowa for Great Grandma and Grandpa. There were red raspberries (which I like best) and black raspberries, and purple raspberries, which none of us had ever had. We decided the purple ones did not have the flavorful zest of other varieties.

I have been a raspberry consuming machine. They just taste so good to me. Here are some of the ways I’ve been feasting, in no particular order:

1. Raspberries plain.

2. Raspberries with granola cereal and plain yougurt

3. Raspberries on Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream

4. Raspberries in a very large cereal bowel with 2 teaspoons of sugar, whole milk and just a little bit of cream I found in the back of my refrigerator

I think tomorrow I will need to make some more jam with the black and purple raspberries. The red berries are almost gone.
