Last Day of Tumbling

Yesterday was the last day of tumbling class for Ms. Crazy Preschooler. She loved it so, so much and is devastated that it is over now. The teachers and helpers were so good this summer; I had so much fun sitting (on very uncomfortable benches) and watching all the activity. At the last class parents are welcome to take pictures, so I snapped a few. They are grainy because gymnasiums do not have good natural light, but still fun.

Ms. CP loved the bars best of all, although each rotation was superbly interesting to her. I enjoyed watching her on the beam the best. Her balance was really quite remarkable, and she had no fear of heights, for sure, for sure. She’d hop all around up on the high beam and do fancy scales (with a little help from the teacher). And she’d walk forward and backward and do high kicks on the low beams without any thought to it.

We brought Grandma Kathy (who was visiting this week) and Mr. Cuddles to the last week of class. Mr. Cuddes was mesmerized like I had never seen him before. I was surprised because I was expecting some major tantrums at that time of the day. Grandma Kathy sweated out sitting on the sidelines with me. Not only do gymnasiums have poor lighting, they also have terrible air circulation, especially on humid 90 degree July days.
