The Newest Daily Snippets Book

For five consecutive years I have documented our family’s daily life by taking at least one picture almost every single day.  At least I try to.  I miss a few days here and there.  Our newest book, the pictures from 2015 arrived recently, and everyone has been enjoying perusing through the pages.  Each day gets one page, a single image.  A lot of the images aren’t perfect, in fact, the books often have mistakes in them too, even though I try to proof them carefully (in 2013 I accidentally typed 2014 on the spine!  Oops!)  Often when I’m taking the images day after day I feel the task is mundane, and I feel a bit disgusted that the pictures aren’t stellar.  However, getting to see all those images in print for so many years is very motivating, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It’s amazing what you forget if you don’t document, and it’s really neat to compare how things have visually changed or stayed the same over multiple years.  So many times I’ve taken an amazing picture that I would never have captured if I hadn’t needed to take a picture that particular day.

Lately I’ve been feeling uninspired with my camera.  Then I looked back at February pictures from the last few years and realized I was uninspired then too, because February is just an uninspiring month for me.  So, we move onward into March!
