Active Kid

We’ve had our toaster since we’ve gotten married.  It has four slots for extra thick bread, and I haven’t encountered a lot of toasters like that.  I like our toaster a great deal.  However, in its old age it is getting to be a bit unpredictable, and if you don’t watch it closely, it could decide to burn your toast even if you have it set for “warm bread” as my mother-in-law who loves dark toast refers to the kind of toast preferred in my household.

Mr. TOF gets a big kick out of making his own toast for breakfast.

This morning I came in the house from outside, and he was getting ready to cook some toast.

“Mom, I’ve figured out a great plan for making toast.  I tried it out yesterday.  I put the bread down and then I go outside and run around the house.  I come back in and count to eleven and then the toast is done and I pop it right up.”
