Mr. Sneaky Pants Masters the Bike

Mr. Sneaky Pants had been asking and asking for Dr. Peds to help him ride his bike this spring.  (I am certainly not in ANY shape to chase after a bicycle, and he has noted how I move at a pace slower than a tortoise . . . so my helping him was completely out of the question).  Yesterday afternoon it finally worked out for Dr. Peds to take all the kidlets up to the Montessori School parking lot.  It turned out that Mr. SP just sort of hopped on the bike and rode away.  They took the balance buddy bar off his bike, and he was an expert in about 15 minutes.  I wasn’t there, so Mr. SP excitedly told me the news when he got back to the house.  His bike was broken last night, so he didn’t get to show me his newfound skills until this morning.  He rode up and down the sidewalk all throughout the day and loved to impress me with his “amazing hero tricks” which involved super fast application of the brakes and a bit of skidding down the sidewalk.  My boy does love a bit of danger.  He’s pretty much beside himself in happiness with his newfound skill.
