Happy Birthday Mr. SP: Officially a Teenager
Surprise! The Cousins came for Mr. SP’s thirteenth birthday! We began the day with bagels and cream cheese in the bathtub. Isn’t it remarkable how many cousins can fit in one tub? It was a wiggle fest.
Midmorning we headed to the new trampoline park. We hadn’t been there before, and Mr SP was really, really excited about going. I have lots of trampoline park pictures of cousins and Mr. SP’s siblings, and hardly any of him because he was off playing dodge ball and near the foam pits, and I was in a different area for most of the jump time. The trampoline park was definitely a hit.
For lunch we stopped at a nearby restaurant for pizza. Mr. SP was excited to be the only one allowed to order soda. The waiter even brought him a refill.
Mr. SP went to a movie in the afternoon, and we opened presents and had cake in the evening. Most of us loved eating Thanksgiving leftovers, but Mr. SP requested smoked BBQ ribs, which his father was happy to cook for him. So he happily ate a plateful of ribs later in the evening.
