Scenes from Camping
That last look is DS trying to persuade people that his way of thinking is rational.
We squeezed in a super fast North Shore camping trip right before the holiday weekend. This meant that everyone missed something they were not supposed to miss, so in the future our camping trip will be rescheduled to a different part of summer. We did, however, have a good time. The weather was beautiful on our full day there, and that made up for the drizzle that soaked us as we were packing everything up on our last morning. We all slept in hammocks in the trees, and we always enjoy spending a lot of time at the beach and the mouth of the Temperance River swimming, exploring and reading. (In fact, I finished 2 full books and we were gone less than 48 hours). YaYa and I went on a very short little hike up the gorge. I didn’t do any kayaking because the waves were just a bit sloshy for my liking, but my hammock in the trees was so comfortable! I love listening to sloshing waves as I am sleeping. There were hardly any mosquitos, strangely, probably because we just finished a dry spell of weather. It was good, relaxing family time.
