Hug Your Cat Day

I was reading something last Tuesday that referenced the fact it happened to be “Hug Your Cat Day.”  The Devious Snail was deviously reading over my shoulder, and what he saw on the computer screen inspired him to run downstairs, scoop up Brutus and give him a hug.  I decided to send both of them outdoors to photograph the event.  Brutus, ever the example of a personality that only wants to be loved on his own terms was not too thrilled about being woken up from a nap and moved outdoors for a photo session.  He was not into hugging or any sort of affection at that particular moment.  Brutus the cat always has such a distinct ability to express his disdain and pessimism about life.
