I’m loving wildflowers! Lupine, buttercups, Queen Anne’s lace, daisies, those adorable orange flowers that I don’t know the name of. It’s a good time to be a wildflower.
Our host daughter from Eastern Europe is back to spend the summer with us through Project 143. I’m so happy she’s back. There’s a lot I cannot say about her super complicated situation, but good things are happening in this girl’s life, and I’m so grateful she can spend the summer with us again. There are rules, of course, about posting images that include her, so know that over the next few weeks there will be a lot of frames that document our family that I am nearly bursting to incorporate on the blog, but can’t. That’s OK! Trust me, there has been much excitement, much busyness, and so, so much laughter since she arrived back to stay with us.
I am loving these stainless steel straws that I bought a few weeks ago for smoothies. Oh my goodness! We all have been enjoying smoothies so much more through a big, thick straw! They are so easy to rinse and take care of. Recently we sometimes make our healthy smoothies a little fancier by including black pearl tapioca, and it’s so fun to slurp up the tapioca through the straw.
I’m loving long walks! I love a good summer jaunt though the forest, and while things have been really busy and I don’t get to go on long walks that often, when I do I really appreciate all of our trails and our beautiful scenery. I’m STILL finding new trails after all these years of living here!
