All through November and December I enjoyed fresh pomegranate. I love pomegranate.
My husband gifted me with some collapsible paper stars to hang in the windows for the holiday season. They made me very happy. We are still working on the best way to light them up in the evening.
I splurged on some fancy ink pens. I really enjoy writing with a great pen, especially if the ink is available in lots of colors. I was lucky to find some Staedtler Triplus gel pens in the .7mm size at Target a few weeks ago. I’ve been wanting to try Staedtler pens for quite awhile, but the only size I could find on Amazon were .3mm. I’m really a .7 girl. I like them a lot, but my all time favorite pens are these and these.
Because of some damage to a tiny flat part of a section of the roof on our house, this fall we had a contractor come and make a plan about how to better design the little section of roof with a slope. The work is all done, and as a part of the deal, we unfortunately needed to take the door to the balcony (which was were the damage was) and turn it into a window. We were sad to see the door go, but now the window is installed, and I actually really love it. I especially like not having a big slab of sheetrock nailed up where the door was while we waited for the window to be ordered and installed. I’m also looking forward to fewer roof issues in the future.
I’m loving great wool socks. I know I say it often. They really do bring me joy! I got three new pairs of wool socks for Christmas, and I actually have them stashed away waiting for February, because February is a bleak month, and I plan on bringing out a new pair of socks for my feet each week.
I’m loving the extra snuggles I get from Brutus the Cat now that it’s winter and he turns depressed and lazy.
After deliberating for months about getting a much needed new winter hat, I purchased a wool, fleece lined Minnesota Mittens hat at the COOP grocery store, and it’s terrific. Two of my kids also really like it. One kid is ambivalent, and one thinks it is not a good choice. I am enjoying its lovely warmth very much.
