Jump Jump Jump
So we actually saved our big jump-a-roo baby jumper that we got when the Devious Snail was a baby. He used it. The Banana used it. Mr. TOF used it. It never came down from the attic for the next twelve years because we thought there was always the possibility of doing foster care, and maybe we would actually want that piece of jumping equipment if we needed to take care of a baby. A few weeks ago YaYa was visiting and suggested that we retrieve it out of the attic.
We brought it down, set it up (another practically antique piece of baby equipment, as one of our babysitters remarked!) and placed Peanut Maximus in it. He LOVED it. Then I took him out of the seat and all the fabric tabs holding the seat onto the jumper actually disintegrated into powder, and there was nothing to hold the seat on! Of all the pieces to disintegrate! The rest of the jumper was in fine condition (other than a bit of yellowing plastic after all those years). But it was unusable without a seat.
Dr. Peds was on the chase for a seat replacement, but it turns out that the jumper was SO old (18 years old) that there were no replacement parts, and even though he ordered 3 other replacement seats that looked similar, they ended up all being the wrong size and would not work. He returned the seats. He finally gave up and picked up a new jumping seat that hangs from a door frame at the store. Instead of hanging it from a door frame, he rigged it up to a ceiling hook that used to hold the hugglepod swing in the family room when we had small enough people to fit into the hugglepod.
Peanut Maximus loves his new jumping seat. He jumps and jumps, and twists and turns, making delighted sounds until he exhausts himself. Best of all, the jumper is right next to the window, which makes it extra fun. The rest of us love to watch his busy and adorable legs bouncing up and down.

Grandma Gin
That is the cutest smile ever. Love it and him. My imagination is saying that he is saying, “Happy Birthday Grandma Gin.” I am sure this was taken before it was posted on March 19th. He sure warms my heart.
