Observations

  • After such a miserably dry summer I thought it would be a nasty, crispy kind of fall, but we have had an amazing and somewhat shocking amount of rain in the last month, and now everything is lush and green, except for the leaves on the trees, which are starting their color change. The brilliant leaves contrasting with vibrant green grass makes me happy.
  • I’ve been enjoying playing a mixture of aggressive and calm, serene piano pieces this month.
  • Smart toddlers are capable of a great deal of mischief.
  • A good school orchestra teacher makes all the difference.
  • I love toddler hands. I love the little dimples around the knuckles. I would like to freeze them just like so. Also, it is remarkable that those tiny hands can do so many new things everyday.
