Six Months

Squirmy has started to give snuggle hugs.  I love it.

He’s a smiley guy, always looking around, hoping for some interesting commotion to happen.  He can sit up a bit with the help of a pillow. He can wiggle on the floor a bit.  He loves to put things in his mouth, and his kisses are slobbery in mighty proportions.  He says “Da!” which I think is entirely unfair.  Every single one of my babies said the “Da” sound before the “Ma” sound.  What is up with that?  I’m the one who changes almost all the diapers and usually does all the feeding around here.

He has transitioned wonderfully from sleeping in the hammock hanging in my closet to sleeping in the pack and play.  He loves to cover his head up with a fuzzy fleece blanket.  I think that must be genetic, because several of his siblings love to sleep that way too.  It makes me giggle when I find them sound asleep with their heads buried under the blankets.

It is a great joy that he is spitting up so much less, and he and I don’t go about our day entirely soaked in rancid vomit anymore.  It’s nice not to have to change clothes twelve times daily.

He hates being left alone in a room, and he gets bored easily, very easily, when the other kidlets aren’t around entertaining him.

He is super duper long, and although he’s gained some weight, he’s very lanky.  He is growing more irresistible by the day.

I love the second picture. He looks like, what are you doing Mom?. Man can hardly beleive that he is 6 months old. He won’t be the baby in the family much longer, growing like that. Kiss him from me.
