Visiting the Penns

This last picture was supposed to be a “boy” picture but a couple of sneaky little sisters jumped in at the last minute!  We had a fantastic time staying overnight at the Penn home.  There were cookies, light saber battles, pancakes with syrup, bunk beds to sleep in (a very BIG deal around here) and excellent conversation.  We took a trip to the Heritage Center while the big Penn kids were in school, and Siri even let me make noodles and cheese for lunch!  Yum.  Yum.  Extra yum.  Ms. Kari is just a bundle of spunk.  She is truly hilarious and irresistible.  It’s a very good thing she’s not my own child, because I know I couldn’t help but to spoil her rotten.  The boys played video games, and it was so fun to watch them watch one another play, because they were so entranced with what they were doing they looked like they were holding the video controls even when they weren’t.  They were on tiptoes with anticipation.  The Banana latched on to Signe, and she’s still talking about how Signe is her very best friend in the whole wide world.  She was pretty thrilled that someone who was Sarah-sized would actually play with her AND Sarah instead of trying to avoid her.  (The Banana has an advanced degree in how-to-be-a-pest-when-Sarah-is-playing-with-a-friend).  The only drawback, according to the kidlets, was that the Penn kids had to be in school for part of the visit, but they’ll have another couple of chances to play together this summer, because we have plans!
