Backyard Wildflowers

Even though neither Dr. Peds or myself, (although he scoffs at the idea) have had time or opportunity to mow our yard yet this spring.  Whenever we do have a chance to get out there, it always seems to be raining, and to be truthful, the grass has only really greened up and started to grow in the last ten days or so.  In our neighborhood people are not fussy about mowing their lawn frequently, which is really nice.  Still, things are getting a big shaggy in sections of the yard.

However, one big advantage to having a “wild” lawn is that there are plenty of wildflowers for the kidlets to pick:  dandelions, and right now lots of these blue flowers, which last a surprisingly long time in a jar full of water.  They are busy bringing me bouquets all the time, and I love it.

Rachel I think those are forget-me-nots. I love them. They are so pretty and delicate. Wish I were there to get a bouquet too
