Tall Swings

If you ask the kidlets what their favorite part about the afternoon visit to Pattison State park, they will unanimously and loudly tell you that they loved the swings.  There are two especially tall swingsets at the park near the swimming pond, the kind of swings that have such a long swoop that you really feel like you are soaring and flying above the ground.  The kidlets loved swooping super high into the air.  It helps, of course, when your very tall dad gives you a great big push to get you started.  

They also discovered the joy of jumping off the swings as they slowed down.  (Even Dr. Peds had to give it a try).  

Mr. Sneaky Pants required a bit of practice, though.  HIs first  attempt resulted in the ultimate face plant right into the sand.  It was really very hilarious.  When he unstuck his face, he looked up and wasn't sure whether to start whining, screaming, or laughing.  He was pretty brave in the end, and Dr. Peds zipped right over to clear the impacted sand out of his nasal cavity.  After a quick brush off for the rest of his face, he was right back at it.  

The Banana didn't do much jumping, but she did like swinging.
