The Banana: Version 3.5

It was The Banana’s half birthday on Monday, and I cannot even tell you how excited she was.  She told us all many times throughout the day how much she really did love birthdays, especially her own.  While she and Mr. Sneaky Pants were off to the doctor’s office for checkups and immunizations, Ya Ya and I made a very quick trip to Target to pick up a few things we needed, including some PINK stickers, PINK sidewalk chalk, and a jump rope that we never did find.  On the way home we stopped to get a PINK balloon with a PINK purse on it, because The Banana’s big request for the day was a balloon of her very own.  She was so excited when Ya Ya  whipped out of the car with the balloon and spent lots of time whirling and dancing with it.  After supper the kidlets snarfed down large bowls of ice cream with lots of sprinkles.  It was a fine ending for a crazy warm March day, much of which was spent outside playing in the mud.  In fact, I think this was The Banana’s fourth outfit for the day.  Each previous version had been splattered with mud.
