Warm, Warm Spring Day

The temperature was actually 71 degrees today, on the 31st of March.  Unbelievable.  I made the most of it, too.  In the morning The Banana and I went on a short hike and played at two different playgrounds.  We stopped at the bread store and got some fresh bread to make thickly sliced open-face peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch, which we ate outside on the deck after we picked Mr. SP up from preschool.  I spent the better part of the afternoon reading a book in my hammock swing while the kidlets ran to and fro in the yard, and we walked to our Wednesday night activities at church.

I know somewhere there is an old black and white picture of my spunky Great Grandma Zana doing a silly pose that is very close to what The Banana is doing in the above left photograph.  The Banana likes to ham it up in front of my camera in all sorts of crazy poses (that aren’t anything like what I had envisioned in my head)  if I promise her a snack of raisins.

What a pretty pink dress. Looks like you were having fun in the warm weather. Different from last year.
