My Writing Girl

Ya Ya found out on Friday that she received a bronze medal at the state level for a PTA contest for that story she wrote last fall about a princess who didn’t have to eat her vegetables.  She is over the moon excited and has a very proud Mama.  I love that all my kidlets love stories and that this one especially likes writing them down.

To add further to the writing excitement around here, tomorrow she gets to go to a young author’s conference and visit with real authors and ask questions.  I told her I’d like to shrink and go along in her pocket.  She is extremely happy that her teacher picked her to go.

My word, does she look like her mama on this picture. I can hardly look away. I am so proud of her, hard to get her to talk on the phone with me but she was so full of excitement she talked up a storm.
