Mr. Sneaky Pants Celebrates Eleven

Birthdays that fall on school days.  Sigh.   Every birthday should be on a weekend, I think.  Nevertheless, celebrate we do!  We were up long, long before the sun.  I ran to the grocery store as soon as it opened up for the day and acquired the requested donuts.  As soon as I got home I ran up the stairs, crinkling the bag and shouting “Birthday Donuts!”  It took only a matter of sections before these 3 piled into the bathtub.  YaYa refused to get up to join them, but they said it was perfectly fine, that they’d rather not celebrate with a grouchy teenager who hates the morning anyway.

Donut smiles, because donuts make people happy!

Immediately we headed downstairs for a quick present opening session.  He zipped through those packages so that everyone could get ready for the bus.

And then Mr. SP and The Banana took too long getting their winter outerwear on, and missed the bus anyway.  Luckily they happened to both have birthday coupons for a free taxi ride to school, so we piled in the van, anyway.

After school I cornered Mr. SP for a quick picture in his birthday shirt before I started teaching lessons.  He headed up to his room for some non-disturbed LEGO time.

We ate a quick and delicious pizza supper before some of us headed to the middle school for YaYa’s band concert.

When we arrived home it was time for ice cream cake and craziness.
