Elementary School Concert

Last Wednesday morning it snowed!  It was our first significant snow for the year, which we were all very excited about.  However, it made the short trip down the hill to school for the morning concert not so short!  It was good that I allowed plenty of extra time to get there, because it seemed like everyone in the town was going somewhere that morning, and the traffic was moving slowly and carefully, which was a good thing.

By the time we got to the school, the gymnasium was packed as always.  Mr. TOF and I found a seat in the back, which meant that we didn’t have the greatest view, but it was still fun to watch and listen to the kids.  The third grade was first, and the fifth grade was last, which meant I had bookends to the concert!  It made me a little sad when it hit me that it would be Mr. SP’s last holiday concert at elementary school (I could just picture him a few years ago not paying attention up there and turning around backwards on the top of the risers to examine the art mural behind him).  And then I felt a little sad because my concert-going buddy, Mr. TOF would not be sitting next to me next year either!  Ack!
