Eclipsed

The firstborn has been surpassed in height by the second kidlet.  Of course, I always knew that was going to happen, but for some reason I didn’t realize it was happening NOW!  It’s a bit of a weird feeling.  Strangers will no longer be able to intuitively gauge their birth order anymore.

They were standing in the living room, and Mr. SP said, “Hey, do you think I’m taller than you?”

I looked over and said, “Hmmmmmm.  Stand back to back.”  My goodness!  His head was just the teensiest bit higher.  I even checked to make sure both of them had feet flat on the floor.

She’s a little dejected, but he’s quite thrilled.

I keep telling all of the kidlets to stop growing.  No one listens.
