Forsythia

I love forsythia!  Bright yellow flowers covering bushes, marking the beginning of spring . . . how could I not like forsythia!  I love driving and walking around this time of year and spotting blooming forsythia bushes in yards and next to buildings.  So cheerful!

Last Thursday morning I was out for a quick neighborhood walk while Mr. TOF was at preschool.  About two or three blocks from my house is an old, stone Presbyterian church.  It’s a beautiful building, with beautiful landscaping.  I was walking  past it and couldn’t help but notice some amazing forsythia, which looked even more magnificent set agains the dark grey stone of the church.  I was admiring it so fiercely that I walked straight into a telephone pole next to the sidewalk.  Smack!

I bounced right back off the pole and hoped that none of the drivers on the busy street right ahead hadn’t noticed.  It was so classic.  Just like slipping on a banana peel.  It turns out I’ve done that too.

Grace in motion.

That’s me.

Oh, I can just see you doing this, wish the kids would have been video taping that one. Glad you bounced right back.
