2016 Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 1

It’s started!  Perhaps it’s my favorite annual tradition, visiting various Lake Superior beaches every Sunday night from the end of May until October.  Every week is different, and it’s always an adventure, time well spent.  Because we have a girl in a cast, visiting a sandy beach was out of the question, so along with our neighbor friends, we headed to the good old rocky beach.  The rocky beach just never gets old, and it’s perhaps the quickest beach for us to access from home.  The weather on Sunday evening was as perfect as could be, with a warm breeze from over the land that made the air the most perfect kind of comfortable.

There was a great deal of silly posing.

This kid was collecting some special driftwood to make garden sticks for Grandma Kathy.

The Banana decided to join in with all the leg-lift posing.  It took a lot of work to get that heavy plaster cast in the air.

Mr. TOF loved tossing in medium sized rocks and waiting for the splash.

Of COURSE they ended up in the water.  The water temperature did not match the balmy warm air.

Mr. TOF meant to just get his hair a little wet, but he ended up slipping.  However, there were not tears.  Thanks to the cheers from our neighbors, there was just a lot of shuddering.

Mr. SP was contemplating jumping in.  See that little hand in the middle picture?  That’s the hand of a certain cast-wearing little sister, who knew no one could push her back in if she just tapped her brother enough to “help” him loose his balance.  Sneaky.
