2016 Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 4

Our actual time at the beach last Sunday was very, very short due to excessive lightening in the sky.  A major front filled with storms ended up splitting, half to the south and half to the north of us, keeping our city safe and dry, but I couldn’t tell what was going on from the beach, so as a precaution, I herded my kidlets into the car.

We did discover this wonderful driftwood fort, and the boys dipped their feet in the water.

We ended up driving to the top of an overlook on the hill to watch the amazing clouds and lightening as the line of storms split and moved out over the lake. It was better than a fireworks show, and we kept watching for more than an hour.
