This Week

October is my favorite month of the year, but the first week of October is one of my busiest weeks of the year.  Music classes start up, I often have more photography clients than normal,  I sing with oodles of preschoolers on Sunday morning at church,  my kids are in the swing of school and need to go places and have help with things, I have students, and the leaves!  Who can resist trying to get out among those leaves as much as possible?  Crazily enough, as luck would have it, this past weekend I also ended up striken by a nasty little virus that sent me under the weather and in need of a great deal of sleep and rest.  I ended up having to cancel several obligations, and I certainly haven’t been out in the leaves very much.  Viruses are just no fun.

I’m feeling better though, and I might almost catch up soon.  I’m looking forward to a few more days of beautiful leaves and since my voice has returned, I’m excited to teach preschool music class the next couple of mornings.  We are singing about Australia and Antarctica.  Fun!

Right now I’m loving the red ivy on the side of my house.  It’s one of my favorite parts of autumn every year. I’m also loving fresh Honeycrisp apples.  Sweet Tango apples are pretty great too!
