Saturday Afternoon Hike
Last Saturday it was sixty eight degrees. In November. On a Saturday. Amazing. The kidlets elected to hike at Hartley. In the Spooky Forest there were at least 30 college aged students dangling from pine trees in their camping hammocks, reading. I thought that was absolutely fabulous. Mr. SP and I lamented that we didn’t have the foresight to think of spending a Saturday afternoon dangling from the giant pines at Hartley reading good books. Gracious. There weren’t even any mosquitos. We hiked a small loop past the spooky forest and then came back up to Rock Knob, and of course climbed a few trees near the nature center, because you can’t go to Hartley without climbing a tree.
