In the Parking Lot

The Banana and I needed to take a quick trip to the retail district last night to pick up a couple of items needed for this weekend.  We took Mr. TOF with us.  Our second stop needed to be extra quick because we only had about 20 minutes before we needed to pick up YaYa from an activity, and we estimated that it would take at least 10 minutes to drive there.  We leapt out of our parked car and started rushing across the parking lot to the craft store.  I grabbed Mr. TOF’s hand and said, “What I am I ever going to do when you are so big you won’t hold my hand in the parking lot anymore?”

He said, “Oh, Mama, that won’t happen for a really long time.  Don’t worry.”

The Banana glanced askance and offered, “Really, by the time that happens, Mom, you are probably going to need one of us to hold your hand in the parking lot so YOU will stay safe.”  Meaning that soon I will be so old and senile I will need help getting the shopping done.

Needless to say I burst out in a fit of laughter so strong I almost did need assistance crossing the street to the front doors of the store.

This girl!  She makes me laugh almost every single day!  She has such wit, and she delivers her humor so well.
