Visiting the Wooden Boat at Park Point

In the ten years we’ve lived here, we’ve only stopped to play at this boat one time before this week, and that time was long, long before this little guy was born.  Every time we drive by it, I think, Oh, we should stop there and play some time, but I don’t have time right now.  And then I don’t stop.  Ever.  But this last Wednesday we had this weird hour to waste while YaYa was at an activity that we had dropped her off and then needed to pick her up from, and we didn’t really know what to do.  I remembered the boat!  It wasn’t that far away from where we were, so Mr. TOF and I pointed the car across the lift bridge, and away we went!

Mr. TOF had a great time crawling around the boat, playing on the playground, and venturing across the sand dunes where there were big waves on the sandy beach.  Across the dune it the wind was raw and cold, but the boat and playground were nicely protected.  We left with sand in our shoes, full of zest.
