Hosting with P143: Week One!

They’ve arrived, and we’ve had a truly fantastic first week!  We’ve never been able to rehost before, so it was so delightful to see these girls run right back into our home and look for all their favorite things. Things have gone so much more smoothly so far as well, because everyone knew better what to expect.  Also, it’s summer, so there is a ton of things to do outside!  It’s been a week of bike riding, trips to the beach, wading in creeks, delivering fliers for our neighborhood bike parade to celebrate Independence Day, and then decorating bikes and participating.  One of the girls has hiked in the forest with me, we’ve gone grocery shopping, cooked and done some housework, played piano, and currently they are off to their favorite place ever with Dr. Peds:  McDonalds.  Fun, fun times.  Tomorrow I leave for North Dakota to pick up Mr. SP and YaYa, and their arrival is highly anticipated around here.
