Flowering bushes! Hooray! While our winter wasn’t particularly terrible or particularly cold or particularly snowy this last season, it WAS particularly long! Our first long lasting snow came in the middle of October, and we still had snow far, far into April, which made for a long time with trees that had bare branches, a long time with brown grass, a long time with white snow that had turned grey and crusty. I’m loving my forsythia bush, my rhododendron bush, and the crab apple tree in the backyard is about to get started!
I just got three new pairs of eyeglasses. I buy them cheaply online, and get multiple pairs. This was a fantastic decision for me, because I love having different pairs, and I’m always misplacing my glasses since I need to take them off for reading long periods of time, and need to wear them for driving and teaching. At least with multiple pairs I have a chance of finding some pair of glasses when I need them. All of my eyeglasses are cat-eye style, which is spectacular! Best of all, though, I love brand new glasses because they always feel so crisp and snappy, particularly when you unfold the earpieces away from the lenses.
Stroop waffles. Oh my! YaYa and I had these for the first time in January when we flew on a United flight to Chicago. I saw them at Target, and mentioned them to Dr. Peds, who bought me a few packages. Delightful. Now I can feel fancy on an ordinary day.
I am with you I have been waiting for colored blossoms on trees and bushes. Looks so beautiful to see them in the last 10 days.
The Stroopwafles look good. Might have to try and find some in Fargo.
