2018 Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 9 — Quiet

I’m still a week behind on Sunday Night at the Beach pictures.  Soon I will catch up.  I know it.

It’s been a bit of a challenge getting to the beach with Sunday night soccer practice for Mr. TOF and The Banana.  They get done with practice just after the sun sets these days.  Hot and sweaty, they are definitely happy to head to the beach for a quick swim in the cold water, but by the time we get there the daylight has mostly faded away.  It doesn’t stop us from having a fun time in the dim light, but the conditions are not the best for photography.

On this Sunday night, YaYa, The Banana and Dr. Peds were off camping in the Boundary Waters on a canoe trip.  DS was at youth group at church.  Mr. TOF had soccer practice, and while he was chasing balls all over the field, I went for a walk.  We headed to the beach as fast as we could when he was done, and it was quiet.  Most people were just leaving since it was getting dark.  He had a dip in the Lake to cool down.  There was no one to splash around with or play with, so it felt quiet and a little strange.
