Oak Leaves in the Breeze

My favorite autumn leaves are the ones that turn red.  Sadly, there haven’t been as many red leaves this season because our weather has been weird.  It was wet and soggy for weeks on end, and then just as the trees were really getting going in their color change, it suddenly turned cold and we had a sudden hard frost, which has caused a lot of the leaves to turn a dull brown right on the trees instead of their normal vibrant orange, yellow and red hues.  Never the matter.  Fall is still my favorite season.  I love the smell and the crisp air.
