Winter Sunset

We hadn’t been down to the beach for a long time.  This is what happens in winter.  Even though we love to go to the beach in every season, (in fact, winter is one of the most beautiful seasons for beach going) we get busy with our routine and forget to take time out and head down to the big water.  The weather was beautiful last Friday, so we loaded up the van and headed down the hill right at my favorite time of day, just before sunset.  We spent about an hour climbing on icy rocks, examining ice of all textures and shapes, and listening to the water slosh about on the shore.  In winter the beach changes every single day.  It’s never the same, which makes visiting even more exciting.  Hopefully we won’t forget to stop by again soon.  After just a little bit of time outside next to the water, my mind is always refreshed, calm and in a good place.
