A Tall Ship

The Banana, Mr. Sneaky Pants and I went down to the canal this afternoon to see if we could spot any pirates aboard this tall, historic sailing vessel that came into port to celebrate Independence Day.  At one point it had all of its sails open in the crisp east wind, but I didn't manage to capture that with my camera.  We just had a terrific time.  Both kidlets were so cooperative and well-mannered and easy going.  They loved watching the big ship and all the other boats in the flotilla welcoming it.  We even stopped for an ice cream treat on the walk back to our car, and on the way home, both of them fell dead asleep.
