2020 Sunday Night at the Beach: The “We Have Time” Edition
Everything is canceled, and I’m still kind of coming to grips with that. On Sunday evening at 6:00, when everyone was home even though usually my people are scattered in all sorts of directions, I thought The BEACH! Why not? We have time. I screeched at everyone who wanted to come to find their boots and quickly hop in the car. Two kidlets elected to stay home, but the extroverted two were ready for adventure, and Dr. Peds tagged along as well.
While we often go to the beach in the winter, we have not been there much this year, and it was really nice to have soak in the outside space, and have rocks underfoot instead of snow. The temperature was just above freezing, and the breeze was pretty chilly and whipping up some medium small waves. When I haven’t been to the beach for a bit, I forget how calming the sound of waves crashing is to me.
While I watched the water, the rest of the family searched for seaglass. They had a pretty good night, finding some big pieces, and even a worn down marble.
