Chess
These days there are multiple chess games every day. Mr. TOF has been learning to play, and his siblings are happy to oblige him in matches. In fact, the chess board sometimes gets to be a distraction and I have to momentarily “misplace” it until some things are checked off the To Do list later in the day.
I actually prefer checkers (International Draught rules, on a ten grid board . . . thank you Latvian host children!) to chess. Chess involves more multitask thinking, which is not my strength. I only play chess on Fridays, but multiple people insist that I play a match with them, so Fridays have become busy chess days.
