Leaf Pile
It has been an amazingly warm fall, although today the first frost twinkled. The leaves have been slowly turning and dropping, and this kidlet was excited about making a leaf pile in the front yard to jump in last weekend.
On Mondays I have a number of piano young piano students in the afternoon, and they all know each other. They often end up making a multi-family playdate in the front yard for a few hours in the afternoon where all the kids run around playing crazy games and the moms have a chance to chat while I am inside working with students one on one at the piano. I LOVE this so much! It is so fun to look out the window and see all the joyous running and jumping. This past Monday there was extraordinary jubilant merriment regarding the leaf pile as piles of small people ran through it, jumped in it, buried each other with leaves and screeched the whole time! It was a fun frenzy! And those sweet mothers actually raked the pile back up at the end so that Mr. TOF would have an intact pile to jump in later.
