Some Things I’ve Been Loving
- My neighbors have built an amazing wall out of snow that encircles their fire pit. They’ve named it “Snowhenge II.” Snowhenge I came into being last winter during lockdown as a way of connecting with their friends in the cold outdoors. Snowhenge II is really something! There are two entrances that are arches of snow bricks. The walls are nearly 10 feet tall. There is a rectangular turret on one side. The whole thing is quite impressive, and Mr. TOF had a very fun time assisting with some of the construction. They’ve even been featured in the newspaper. Creativity like this makes me smile every time I look out the window.
- This winter I am loving my fuzzy weighted blanket. It makes for deep sleep during a nap on the couch and it is so toasty warm and cozy. I gifted the kidlets weighted blankets of their own for birthdays and Christmas this winter, and they are big fans as well.
- My friend sent me some lovey stationary and the best fancy pencils a few weeks ago! I have some of the fancy pencils out at the piano, and my students are really enjoying them as well. It brings a little extra joy to a day of teaching.
- Along with the pencils, I have started keeping manual aluminum pencil sharpener near the piano to sharpen those fancy pencils whenever I feel the whim, and I am loving this new system!
- I have been loving naps these past few weeks.
- I have been enjoying orange juice and grapefruit juice.
- I have been oh so grateful for the heated seat in my car.
