2022 Sunday Night at the Beach: Edition 1
For the first time ever, a kidlet drove the car to Sunday Night at the Beach. The Banana was at the helm of the van, with Dr. Peds next to her. I sat in the middle of the minivan! The Banana and Dr. Peds determined that we needed snacks for our first beach trip of the season, so we stopped at the grocery store and they got some chips, stinky guacamole, yogurt and cheese.
The rocky beach is still somewhat closed for construction, but we were able to park by the highway and walk in on the new bike path. It was sunny, but freezing! The East wind was brisk, churning up some lovely waves. Neither The Banana or I really felt an inclination to get too close to the frigid water, but the waves were lovely to watch from a park bench. The water made a delightful ombre pattern, a little browner closer to shore, but then a wonderful turquoise color gradiating into a deep navy blue far out into the deep. We bundled up in our hoods and towels, and well, to be honest, didn’t last that long! But we did have a lovely time. Dr. Peds searched for beach glass, but didn’t have much luck.
Mr. Trouble on Feet was at baseball practice, and The Devious Snail was away on a trip to the Boundary Waters.
