Lavender

I’ve been frightfully neglectful regarding my yard this summer, and even the container garden on the back deck has been suffering all season. However, the lavender plants that winter indoors and then move back outside at the end of May are in full bloom right now, and they smell so lovely. These plants look practically dead by the end of winter even though they are loved on all through the cold months. When they make their way back outside, they look even worse for a few weeks, and then bit by bit little new sprouts of blooms start poking out of the top of the plants, and by this time in the summer they are happy and thriving in their pots.
