I’m sitting in a coffee shop. I never take my work to a coffee shop. However, drastic measures are necessary, so I’ve just eaten a Danish roll, and Squirmy and I are in a coffee shop. The storm somehow blew something around, and we’ve lost the connection for internet AND phone at our house, and it looks like it won’t be fixed until Friday at the earliest, or maybe later. That alone would be enough to drive me technologically crazy, but to add to the catastrophe, my regular desktop computer, which has EVERYTHING on it worked fine yesterday morning, but completely, totally crashed out of the blue yesterday afternoon! We’ve never had a computer crash like that. The computer is in the technology hospital, and it doesn’t look like it will be getting fixed for a number of days as well! The whole situation has me topsy turvy, anxious and rather agitated. Some of the really, really important things on the computer are backed up on my external hard drive, but certainly not everything, including many very, very important things! Hopefully they will be able to retrieve everything. From this day forward I will now become a relentless backer upper.

So, my presence may be sparse around here. I’m blogging from the ipad with Dr. Peds’ wireless keyboard, and I’m thankful Squirmy is being patient.

I can feel for you. Hopefully they will be able to get you up and running again soon. Hope you did not lose to much of your important stuff. I miss the picture with the story today. I thought something was wrong with my connection until I read on. You must feel like you lost your right arm. Thinking of you.

Hmmmm…maybe we could convince you to get a cell phone after this? They aren’t so evil you know…and some even have internet on them! 🙂 (Not that you could do photography stuff, but you might not feel so disconnected.) Is irony to be writing to you on the internet about what to do when you don’t have internet? Or just pointless?
