Big Kid Costumes

Yay!  The computer is back!  AND everything was rescued.  I’m a happy, happy Mama.  Here are some big kid costumes.  Mr. Sneaky Pants was a clone trooper. He borrowed the costume from a neighbor, but the helmet is a find from the thrift store sent to us from Auntie Dot.  The Banana wore a ballerina costume to the Boo Ball at preschool, but wisely decided that costume was too cold to go trick or treating in, so she pulled out warm and fuzzy lion costume on Halloween evening.  Ya Ya made her own rabbit costume by fashioning some great ears from cardboard (go figure) and duct tape, with a little lace.  She was excited about using face paint for her nose and whiskers.  The costume creating process was very different this year.  Everyone had their own ideas of things to use from our own costume box, and I really had very little to do with any of the deciding or creating.  It was a bit strange for me at first, but really fun to watch the kidlets come up with things.

The costumes got a workout between the parades at school, the boo ball, a brief visit to Scarium at the Aquarium, and trick or treating.  Stay tuned for pictures of Squirmy’s costume tomorrow, hopefully.

What great customes. Love the rabbit ears. Everytime I see Banana I have to take a double take. She is getting so tall and mature looking. Great helmet for Mr. SP it is the greatest. At the nursing home we had 450 – 500 kids come through. Great to see so many outfits. Very cute and fun. Since they all came pass the front desk where I work. It is the best.

Wow did the kidlets ever do great on the costumes. Hannah looks alittle like Pat in the lion costume, I agree with Gin, she changes all the time. Can hardly wait to see all of you next week.
