Mess of the Week: Sunflower Seeds

I had the house almost ready to start teaching in the afternoon. I ran downstairs for literally just a minute to put in a load of laundry. When I came up the stairs, things were ominously quiet. Sure enough, there was Peanut Maximus, sitting next to the fireplace in the family room with a glass jar of apple vinegar in one hand and a jar of gummy vitamins next to him. He was running his other hand through a pile of sunflower seeds he dumped out of a jar onto the floor. I am choosing to chalk it up to a good sensory experience.
