Reflecting on National Poetry Month
I had a great vision of reading poems out loud to my kidlets almost every day for National Poetry month. Sadly, that did not happen. However, the front of the fridge is filled with fresh magnetic poetry, and some of those poems are still in progress. I wrote a few poems. I listened to a few poems. I read many poems, including all the poetic lyrics to Carmina Burana, which was performed by the symphony. The Banana wrote several poems, including a hilarious poem about orchestra that she read as part of her campaign speech to become an officer in her school orchestra. Mr. TOF hammered his way through poetry assignments for his English class at school. I consider it a success. I’m looking forward to next April.
