Learned in July

  • Thunder Bay, Ontario is in Eastern Time Zone. It’s not that far away, so I always assumed it was included in Central Time.
  • On a bad texting day, when I texted The Banana at least four things that were meant for someone else, I learned how to unsend or delete a message that was sent. I can do email like no one’s business, but texting sometimes throws me for a loop, and my children find this hilarious.
  • I learned the story of why service berry bushes/trees are called service berries. (They are blooming during a time of many memorial services after the long cold winter).
  • At the piano I learned a short piece by Sibelius (Iris), and the ninth Spanish Dance by Granados. I relearned the third movement of a Beethoven Sonata that I played in college, and “The Sunken Cathedral” by Debussy is in process.
  • Listening to three kidlets talk about rowing means I’m always learning more about rowing.
