Bentleyville

On Tuesday night, near the end of a snow storm, we headed down to Bentleyville, an enormous Christmas light display down near the harbor.  The kidlets and Dr. Peds had gone last year, but I stayed home in my gestating state to take a nap.  This year we met up with our neighbors up the hill and enjoyed the (slightly overstimulating but pretty) lights together.  There were complimentary cookies and cocoa, bonfires to warm up near, Santa and Mrs. Claus, some mascot reindeer and penguins, speakers playing Christmas music that actually was not too loud and not too soft, and lots and lots and lots of lights, of course.  Ya Ya liked the 12 ton (or something like that) metal Christmas tree that flashed all sorts of colors to the beat of the music.  There were tunnels and tunnels of lights to walk through as you viewed lots of other lit up characters and landmarks like a small version of the up and down bridge, and a display of Christmas sailing ships, all constructed from lights.  It was nice, and  because of all the snow coming down there wasn’t too much of a crowd.   I was carrying the baby through the snow, so I didn’t get many pictures, but we did have an excellent time.
